Therapeutic Drumming

Drum Circles Rhythms for Health Stress Release

Drumming has been used throughout the ages as a way for people from all walks of life to:

Release Stress
Rejuvenate and Balance Minds & Bodies
Enhance Focus & Clarity
Uplift Spirits

Drumming produces many of the same physical, mental and emotional benefits of aerobics, martial arts, athletics, yoga and mediation. Drumming also has the added positive effects that come from making music both as an individual and as part of a group.

Recent clinical studies have conclusively documented what people worldwide have known and enjoyed for thousands of years . . . Drumming is both GOOD FOR US and FUN!

Jim Greiner, though not a music therapist, has worked with certified physical and mental therapists and other professionals to develop enormously effective drumming programs for:

Stroke Centers
 Convalescent Centers
 Retirement Communities
Substance Abuse Programs
At-Risk Youth Groups
 Prisons and Other Groups

“Your drumming programs are like a breath of fresh air for the young and old! They release tension, are mentally and physically stimulating and are fun!”- Activities Director, Sunshine Villa retirement community.

Jim incorporates breathing, relaxing, vocalizing, social interaction, group support and simple movement activities into his therapeutic drumming programs in fun, easy humorous ways that encourages participation while enhancing the benefits.

“Your drumming program was absolutely wonderful! The way you were able to involve even the more bashful of our residents was a pleasure to witness. Their active participation physically helped their cardiovascular system and dexterity.” - Activities Director, Twilight Manor retirement community

“Percussionist Jim Greiner uses innovative techniques to release stress and revitalize his participants.” - PBS special, Health Visions

“Thank you for leading us through a simple, and very effective means of connecting with one’s own energy, rhythm and well-being, while in communion with others.” - Marion Vittitow, Capacitar; Empowering Trauma Victims Worldwide

Jim's programs have been featured in national and international print, radio and T.V. stories.
